Welcome to the Website of the Herb Businesses of Western North Carolina. The WNC Herb Businesses sponsor the annual Spring Herb Festival at the WNC Farmers Market held in Asheville each May. This event is in cooperation with the NC Herb Association and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture.
“If It’s Herbs, It’s Here” is the theme for the popular event that attracts over 25,000 herb lovers and visitors from across the Southeast each spring.
Dates Set for the 19th Annual Herb Festival, Spring 2008!
Dates are already set for 2008 annual herb festival in Asheville, North Carolina. May 2nd - 4th (Friday through Sunday) we will again celebrate nature's bounty at the Western North Carolina Farmer's market. Hands down, we have the best selection of herb plants in the Southeast.

About the 18th Annual Herb Festival
Friday and Saturday offered cloudy skies and occasional rain, but that didn't stop lovers of herbs from coming to the Festival and taking advantage of some of the best herbs, plants, products, literature, and herb talk in the southeast.
Sunday the skies cleared and it warmed and made for a perfect ending to a full range of nature's sampling of weather. One of the festival visitors admitted to "not knowing much" about herbs, but understand their value to good health and has started cooking with herbs. Another festival visitor indicated that this was her fifth year of purchasing herb festival products exclusively for her herb garden.
Whether it is to socialize with others who appreciate the nature's healing bounty or it is to people watch, the Herb Festival offers smiles, camaraderie, and health benefits.
