  • Chamomile and elderflowers hand gel –

Chamomile and elderflowers combine to soothe minor skin itches and soften them. The gel is calm, cool and delightful. 

Recipe Steps

½ cup mineral or filtered water.

2 tablespoons dried chamomile flowers.

Take 2 tablespoons of dried elderflowers.

Take 3 tablespoons of glycerin.

Take 3 tablespoons of arrowroot powder.

The process:

Heat the water till it boils. Keep it like that then add herbs to the water. Cover and allow to precipitate for 30 minutes. Gently heat the glycerin using a double boiler. Slowly add the herbal boiled liquid to the glycerin and to the arrowroot mixture. Stir until the mixture begins to gel. Later take it out in the clean jars and cover it. 

  • Rose and Thyme bath scrub  

The blend of ground oats and orange peel help to exfoliate the skin, which advances increased cell turnover.

Recipe Steps

Take 3 cups of whole oats

Take 1 cup dried rose petals.

Take 1 cup dried thyme.

Take ½ cup dried orange peel.

The process:

Grind each ingredient in a coffee or spice grinder into a fine powder. Grind it batch-wise. Later combine the powders in a bowl and stir to blend them well. Store the finished powder in an airtight jar. For use, mix 2 tablespoons of powder with a small amount of water to make a paste well.

Recipe Steps:

Take ½ cup apricot kernel oil.

¾ cup benzoin tincture

Add 10 drops of sweet orange essential oil.

Add 8 drops of basil essential oil.

The process:

Blend all ingredients in a clean glass jar having a tight lid. To use, add 1-2 tablespoons to running bath water.

  • Lemon verbena bubble bath gel –

Recipe Steps

Take 1 cup boiling water

Take 2 tablespoons dried lemon verbena leaves

Take 1 tablespoon dried sweet woodruff

Take 1 tablespoon dried peppermint

Take 1 tablespoon dried comfrey

Take 5 tablespoons liquid castile soap

Take 2 tablespoons vegetable glycerin

Take 2 teaspoons witch hazel

Add 8 drops lemon verbena essential oil

Take 1 teaspoon powdered unflavored gelatin

The process:

Infuse the lemon verbena, sweet woodruff, peppermint and comfrey in the boiled water for 20 minutes. Later strain and discard the herbs. Blend the castile soap, glycerine, witch hazel and essential oil in a small bowl. Stir into the reserved herbal infusion. Then add gelatin and stir again until it dissolves. When cooled, pour the gel into a clean jar or squeeze bottle. For use, drop 1-2 tablespoons into running bath water. If your home gets hard water, then use distilled water. Distilled water for this formula to keep unnecessary minerals out of the mix.

3. Recipes for bath and balm

  • Spiced stimulating oil –

This oil is fiery, erotic and refreshing. It’s likewise brilliant for pain-filled, firm joints and sore muscles. Be mindful so as not to contact your eyes or lips with this oil on your hands. Take ½ cup dried ginger root

2 capsules of vitamin E oil, already pierced.

10 drops of cinnamon essential oil.

The process:

Place the ginger, cloves, cinnamon, cayenne and turmeric in the double boiler. Then cover it with sesame oil. Dip the spices in the oil. Keep it open on the lowest flame and set it for 4 hours. Stir it every 30 minutes. Strain the oil through a paper filter and discard spices. Stir in vitamin E and cinnamon essential oil. On cooling transfer to a clean container. Cap it well and label it.

  • Sandalwood and Rose Skin salve

Goes on like a moisturizing ointment; lingers like a romantic perfume…It is a skin salve that replenishes with a hint of romance. 

Recipe Step:

Take 4 ounces of shea butter.

Take 2 tablespoons of jojoba oil.

Take 2 tablespoons of grated beeswax.

Add 20 drops of sandalwood essential oil.

Add 15 drops of rose geranium essential oil.

Take 1 capsule of vitamin E oil.

The process:

Use a double boiler, melt the shea butter and beeswax together. Stir to blend.

Also, add the essential oils and contents of the vitamin E capsule. Stir again.

Then allow the mixture to cool down and pour into a small jar. 

Then tightly cover the lid.

4. Recipes for aromatic adventure 

  • Lavender ~ Vanilla perfume –

Recipe Steps:

Take ½ cup vodka.

Take 2 tablespoons vegetable glycerin

Take 1 cup dried lavender flowers.

Use 2 whole vanilla beans.

Add 15 drops of lavender essential oil.

Add 10 drops of vanilla extract.

The process:

Slice the vanilla beans with a sharp knife. Place the beans and lavender flowers in a larger jar. Pour vodka into the jar. Tightly close and secure the lid. Let the mixture infuse for more than 6 days. Later strain the vanilla beans and lavender flowers. Then add glycerin, lavender essential oil and vanilla extract to the stored liquid. And stir it well. Then replace the lid and allow the perfume to age for four to six weeks. Again strain the perfume once and then transfer to spray bottles.
